Virtual Care Privacy

When you participate in a virtual care appointment (phone or video), your session is conducted through a secure platform. We take steps to ensure that virtual consultations meet the same privacy standards as in-person visits. However, please ensure you are in a private location during your virtual appointment.

Under BC privacy legislation, you have the right to:

Request access to your personal information held by our clinic

Request corrections to inaccurate personal information

Withdraw consent for the collection or use of your information (subject to legal and medical requirements)

File a complaint with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of BC if you believe your privacy rights have been violated

Requests for access to or correction of your records must be made in writing. We will respond within 30 business days as required by law.
